Changing Race Distances

Participants may change races at packet pick-up on Friday, March 2 (space permitting). You will be asked to pay the difference if upgrading to a longer race. Refunds will not be provided if you are downgrading. Please do not change races without letting us know!

Refunds & Transfer Policy

All registration fees are non-refundable. Event registrations are non-transferable between individuals or years. Runners may be able to change categories from the 10-K to the 5-K run and visa versa (as described above).

Do not run a different distance than shown on your race bib!

Weather & Cancellation Policy

Races are held rain or shine, unless the Florence Forth race directors determine that conditions are too dangerous. This will be based on a prudent decision made race week or race day by Florence Forth and local law enforcement officials. If the race is canceled due to inclement weather there will be neither refunds nor transfers. This position is consistent with USA Track & Field recommendations and with the protocol of sharing the risks associated with the sport of running. In the event of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances Florence Forth race directors reserve the right to alter, cancel or eliminate any/all portions of the race.

Restrictions

No dogs are allowed on the race course. Baby strollers are allowed but are asked to begin at the back of the race and be considerate of other runners. No skates, rollerblades, scooters or other wheeled vehicles are allowed on the race course.

The start and finish lines will be on Ninth Street, Durham (in the 700 block). The 10K course may change from past years. We hope to confirm the course by mid-November. The 10K course will be re-certified, if changed.
